Holly Sugg

Holly Sugg is a Lecturer (Education and Research) at the University of Exeter, affiliated with the Academy of Nursing and the Department of Health and Care Professions. She co-leads the Mental Health and Wellbeing Research Theme and is an Affiliated Researcher with the Complex Intervention Research in Health and Care Group at Uppsala University.

• Qualifications: PhD in Medical Studies, MSc in Psychological Research Methods, PGDip in Psychology, LLB (Hons) in Law, Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

Holly specializes in mental health services research, focusing on the development and evaluation of psychological therapies, particularly Morita Therapy. Her work integrates mixed methods to enhance clinical trials and personalize treatment approaches.

She co-leads the 'evidence for practice' pillar of the Academy of Nursing and supervises PhD, Masters, and undergraduate students while teaching the MSci Nursing Stage 4 Internship module.
