Dr. Holly Arnold is an Assistant Professor in Oregon State University's College of Engineering, directing the Arnold Lab. Her research adopts a One Health framework to study host-microbiome interactions using bioinformatics tools. She holds a PhD in Host-Microbiome Interactions from OSU and a DVM.
Research: Develops computational methods to map microbial functions to ecosystem services, focusing on healthspan extension, animal welfare, and food security. Recent work includes coral reef plastic colonization studies and wildlife microbiome protocols.
Laboratory: The Arnold Lab employs multi-omic approaches (genomics, single-cell analysis) to link microbial features with host health metrics across diverse species.
