Holger Pagel

Prof. Dr. Holger Pagel is a Professor and Head of the Soil Systems Modeling research group at the Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH and the University of Bonn’s Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES). His work focuses on biogeochemical and physical processes in soils, addressing climate change impacts and environmental threats like microplastics. He leads initiatives such as the DFG Cluster of Excellence PhenoRob, emphasizing digital soil twinning and data fusion techniques.
