Holger Gerhardt

Holger Gerhardt is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Economics and Neuroscience and Department of Economics at the University of Bonn, where he also serves as Lab Manager of the BonnEconLab. He has been a Cluster member since 2022 and holds an appointment as an Associated Member.

His research focuses on the behavioral foundations of decision-making, with specific expertise in time preferences, risk preferences, and the perceptual and emotional influences on decision processes. His work integrates experimental economics, behavioral economics, and neuroeconomics to understand the neural correlates of economic choices. Gerhardt's research employs both laboratory experiments and neuroscientific methods to investigate how cognitive and emotional factors shape economic decisions.
