Ho Ning Wong

Dr. Ho Ning Wong is a Research Fellow at the Rural Health Research Institute (RHRI), Charles Sturt University, specializing in rural and global health. She oversees the establishment of a synthetic medicinal chemistry laboratory for drug candidate preparation under GLP conditions, supervises postgraduate students, and manages instrumentation. Her research focuses on antimalarial drugs, tuberculosis, cancer chemotherapy, and redox drug combinations.

Education: PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), with research on artemisinin antimalarials in collaboration with Bayer AG. Previously contributed to the South African Medical Research Council's MALTB REDOX project and the NRF Project on cancer drug development at North-West University.

Key Projects: Development of oxidant and redox drug combinations for malaria, TB, and cancer under GLP standards. Active in global health initiatives and translational research.

Lab Leadership: Leading the setup of a specialized medicinal chemistry laboratory to advance drug development under regulatory guidelines.
