Hillary Mayberry

Hillary Mayberry serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hannibal-LaGrange University since 2017 while maintaining an active career in public education as a school counselor. Her professional journey began with a Bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University, followed by two years teaching 4th grade at Puxico Elementary before transitioning to school counseling.

Her academic background includes specialized certification in IQ testing and a Specialist Degree in School Counseling. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a focus on integrating faith-based practices into therapeutic work.

Research and professional interests center on School Counseling, Community Counseling, and Christian Counseling methodologies within public education systems. Her work emphasizes practical application in K-12 settings and spiritual integration in therapeutic frameworks, drawing from her background in educational assessment and child development.

Outside academia, Hillary is a mother of two children (Lydia and Kingston) with active involvement in her church community. Her personal pursuits include furniture painting, outdoor activities, and true crime media consumption.
