Hilde Kristin Refvik Riise

Dr. Hilde Kristin Refvik Riise is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Caring Sciences, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. She teaches in the Masters in Clinical Nursing and PhD Programme in Health, Function and Participation.

Recent publications (2024-2025) demonstrate a consistent focus on diabetes distress across genders, cardiovascular outcomes following pregnancy complications, and health literacy in primary care. Methodologically, her work leverages Norwegian national registries and large-scale population data.

She contributes to the DiaBEST research group and teaches courses on research methodology (PHDH903) and master's thesis supervision (SPE590).
