Hilde Grimstad

Hilde Grimstad is a Professor and Head of the PLUS Department of Public Health and Nursing at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She holds a dual affiliation within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, contributing to both academic leadership and research in general practice.

Her research focuses on medical education, particularly clinical communication skills training for healthcare professionals, and women's health issues including the interplay between abuse history and reproductive health outcomes. She has led major initiatives such as the PLUS unit supporting pedagogy and teaching innovation across NTNU's medical programs.

Grimstad has served as Department Head (2005–2009) and Vice Dean for Education at the Faculty of Medicine (2009–2017), demonstrating long-term institutional leadership. Her work spans over three decades with a strong emphasis on evidence-based healthcare education and patient-centered care.
