Hèrm Hofmeyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at TU/e, specializing in Computational Structural Design and Finite Element Method applications. He holds a PhD in Applied Mechanics/Steel Structures and has supervised over 89 theses, including 9 PhD and 2 PDEng projects. His work focuses on topology optimization, fire-structure interactions, and sustainable construction methods.
Education: MSc in Computer Aided Structural Design/Applied Mechanics (1994), PhD in Applied Mechanics/Steel Structures (2000). He has been a visiting scholar at Universität Stuttgart and RWTH Aachen.
