Hergan Rosa is a Junior Researcher at the Ilse Arlt Institute for Social Inclusion Research within the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, focusing on critical examinations of social exclusion and marginalization in contemporary European contexts.

She investigates Romani communities' lived experiences in urban environments, emphasizing power dynamics in public space and service access, with particular attention to refugee integration and care systems.
Current projects include "JMF - Young people with refugee experiences" examining integration barriers for displaced youth, and "Care Councils" developing participatory models for social care governance. These initiatives align with her focus on translating anthropological insights into policy-relevant frameworks for social inclusion.
Rosa contributes to the Ilse Arlt Institute’s mission through interdisciplinary collaboration, combining sociological theory with community-engaged research to challenge structural inequalities and advocate for inclusive urban futures.
