Herbert Silva

Herbert P. Silva, DMD, is an Assistant Professor and Comprehensive Care Unit Director at the A.T. Still University-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) St. Louis Dental Education and Oral Health Clinic. He previously practiced general dentistry for 38 years and co-founded Chesterfield Dental Associates in Missouri. Dr. Silva also serves as a national instructor, assessor, and administrator for the United States Soccer Federation.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. His community involvement includes work with Operation Stand Down, Give Kids a Smile, and the Focus Marines Foundation.

Research interests focus on clinical dental practice, interdisciplinary oral healthcare, and community outreach. His professional roles emphasize bridging clinical education with real-world patient care, particularly in underserved populations.
