Prof. Henryk Dyja is a distinguished academic at Częstochowa University of Technology, serving as a full professor since 2000. He held leadership roles including Rector (2002–2005), Dean of the Faculty of Process, Materials and Applied Physics Engineering (1996–2012), and Director of the Institute of Plastic Forming and Safety Engineering (2012–present). He earned his PhD (1977) and habilitation (1990) in metallurgy and materials engineering.
His research focuses on metallurgy, materials engineering, and plastic forming processes. He published over 850 scientific works, including 23 books, and holds 5 patents. He is a member of editorial boards for journals like Archives of Metallurgy and Materials and a member of the Ukrainian Higher Schools Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Dyja’s international collaborations include partnerships with universities in Belgium, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Poland. He has advised over 150 graduates and 18 PhDs, with 3 habilitated doctors. His awards include the Order of the Rebirth of Poland and multiple medals for academic and service excellence.
