Henry Samueli is a renowned academic and philanthropist, best known as the co-founder of Broadcom Corp. and a former Assistant Professor at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His academic career at UCLA (1985–1995) focused on pioneering research in digital signal processing and integrated circuits, culminating in the development of broadband modem technologies. Though he officially remains on leave from UCLA, he transitioned to full-time industry leadership at Broadcom, serving as Chief Technology Officer until 2018 and now as Chairman of Broadcom Inc.
