Dr. Henry Howey is a Professor of Low Brass at the School of Music, Sam Houston State University (SHSU), where he has served as faculty since 1976. Specializing in euphonium and tuba performance, he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree and has performed extensively with the United States Army Band in Washington D.C. His academic training includes brass and musical studies at the University of Illinois (B.M., M.M.) and the University of Iowa (D.M.A.).
