Henry Egbums

Henry Egbums is a third-year PhD Researcher in Psychology at the University of Westminster. His research focuses on adapting the Picture-Based Value Survey Instrument for Children (PBVS-C) to assess children’s value content, structure, and priorities in Nigeria, while examining the role of teachers in transmitting values in primary schools. This groundbreaking project is the first of its kind in Africa and aligns with his professional experience in the health sector.

Henry has over a decade of experience in the health sector, working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, autism, and dementia across hospitals, care homes, and special needs schools. His research interests span Developmental Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Psychological Assessment, emphasizing value systems and child development.

As a person with dyslexia, Henry advocates for individuals to achieve their innate potential through inspiration and personal growth. He published a book on early childhood development in 2017 and aims to transition into lecturing and research in psychology post-PhD.
