Henry C. Soussan

COL Henry C. Soussan, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Military Ethics Fellow at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Sussex, an MA in Jewish Studies from the College of Jewish Studies in Heidelberg (with a minor in Constitutional Law from the University of Heidelberg), and Rabbinic ordination from Midrash Sfaradi in Jerusalem. His career spans over two decades as a U.S. Army chaplain, with assignments including roles in Fort Sill, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, West Point, and South Korea. He specializes in military ethics, religious leadership, and interfaith relations.
