Heng Wang is Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Graduate Affairs in the Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology's Armour College of Engineering. He holds a PhD from Caltech and conducts research in thermoelectric materials, semiconductor physics, and energy transport phenomena.
His research develops novel materials and measurement techniques for thermoelectric energy conversion systems, with recent breakthroughs in lead-free perovskites and vacancy engineering. He leads the S.T.E.M. Research Lab focusing on transport characterization and solution-processed semiconductors.
