Hemanta Doloi is an Associate Professor in Property and Construction Management and Technology at the Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne. His research focuses on Life Cycle Project Management (LCPM), social sustainability in construction, infrastructure policy, and rural development through the Smart Villages Program. He founded the Smart Villages Lab and chairs the International Conference on Smart Villages and Rural Development (COSVARD).
Research areas include risk management, affordable housing, smart governance, and data-driven rural capacity building.
Honors include the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award 2023 and the AIQS Infinite Value Award. He has authored over 200 publications and books: Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for Smart Villages (2019) and Affordable Housing for Smart Villages (2020).
Corporate training expertise includes project risk management, scheduling, and financial analysis for PMP certification.
