Heloise Weber

Associate Professor Heloise Weber is a critical development theorist at the School of Political Science and International Studies, The University of Queensland. Her work interrogates global development frameworks through postcolonial and decolonial lenses, focusing on inequalities, knowledge production, and methodological critiques. She has held leadership roles in the Development Studies Association of Australia (DSAA) and the Global Development Studies Section of the International Studies Association (ISA).

Weber has received recognition for institutional leadership, including founding the GDS/ISA Edward Said Graduate Paper Award. She supervises PhD candidates on topics ranging from postapocalyptic environmental practices to ethnolinguistic discrimination and children's rights in development contexts.
