Prof. Hellmut Eckert holds the position of Full Professor at the Sao Carlos Institute of Physics, University of Sao Paulo since 2011. He previously served as University Professor C4 at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (WWU Münster) since 1995, currently on leave of absence. His career includes roles at the University of California, Santa Barbara (1987–1995), where he advanced from Assistant to Full Professor. He earned his Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry from WWU Münster in 1982, followed by postdoctoral and staff scientist positions at Rutgers University and Caltech.
