Helle Nørgaard

Helle Nørgaard is a Senior Researcher at Aalborg University's Department of the Built Environment, where she studies development dynamics between urban and rural areas, migration patterns, and housing transformations. Her research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze settlement preferences and regional inequalities.

Her current projects examine COVID-19's impact on rural housing patterns, municipal strategies for attracting migrants to peripheral regions, and demographic challenges in shrinking villages.
