Helga Nowotny is a distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Social Studies of Science, with a career spanning institutions including ETH Zurich (1996-2002) and the University of Vienna (1987-1996). She held leadership roles such as Director of the Collegium Helveticum and Founding Director of the Branco Weiss Fellowship program. Currently, she serves as Vice-President of the Council (since 2005) and Chair of the ERA Council Forum Austria.
