Helena Anderson serves as a Lifelong Learning Online Tutor in the Department of Lifelong Learning at Aberystwyth University, teaching Art History modules including Introduction to Art History, The Davies Sisters Collection, and Collectors & Collections: Natural History Illustration.
Her educational background:
- BA in Art History, French and Francophone Studies (Macalester College, USA)
- MA in History of Art (Courtauld Institute, University of London), with focus on Modernism
Research centers on the history of collecting, women in modernist art circles, and Modern British prints and works on paper. She is currently conducting a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership PhD with the University of Bristol and Amgueddfa Cymru-National Museum of Wales examining Gwen John's works on paper.

Prior to academia, she worked ten years in the London art market as a curatorial assistant, gallery manager, picture valuer, and auctioneer. Career highlights include the sale of a rare Rodin archival collection to Musée Rodin (Paris) and identifying a lost early work by Richard Smith CBE.
