Helen Slade is a Lecturer in Audiology and Clinical Audiologist at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Health and Social Care and the Healthcare Science department. She holds dual registration with the RCCP and HCPC. Her roles include Admissions Tutor for the BSc Healthcare Science Audiology Programme, Safeguarding Lead for Healthcare Science Programmes, and Fitness to Practise Panel Member. She is nearing completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education, building on her first-class honours degree in Audiology from Swansea University and prior studies in Education and Psychology at Cardiff University.
Her expertise spans Audiological Rehabilitation, Implantable Devices, and Clinical Audiology. Teaching interests include Simulation Learning and Health & Wellbeing. She leads modules such as SHC137 (Study Skills), SHC138 (Introduction to Audiology Practice I), and SHC331 (Healthcare Science Research Project).
