Helen Rose is a Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Law and the School of Economics, Finance and Law. She transitioned to academia after a legal career as a solicitor in London and Bangkok, leveraging her practical experience in insurance disputes and class action law.
Education: Helen holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Portsmouth, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course from the University of Law. She further pursued a PGCE(i) at the University of Nottingham and a PG(Cert)HE at Anglia Ruskin University.
Research focuses on Insurance Law, social mobility barriers in legal professions, and Succession Law, with a critical lens on class-based entry challenges to the legal field. Teaching expertise spans Tort Law, Contract Law, Business Law, Equity and Trusts, and Succession Law.
Awarded the HEA Fellowship, Helen is also a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Her professional journey includes roles at DLA Piper, DAC Beachcroft, and RPC before joining ARU in 2019.
