Helen King

Dr. Helen King is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Earth Science, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University since 2014. She has held prestigious fellowships including Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellow and DFG Postdoctoral Researcher positions across institutions like Yale University, University College London, and University of Münster.

Her research focuses on Biomineralization and Mineralogy, particularly through Raman Spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy. She investigates mineral-fluid interactions, prebiotic organic compound evolution, and abiotic compartment formation mechanisms.
