Dr. Helen Ji is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering at Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in the Electrical and Electronics Division. She leads the Programme for Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the Joint Educational Institute with Hubei University. Her research focuses on Advanced Processor Design, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Formal Methods for Hardware Design, and Hardware Acceleration using FPGA/GPU.
Dr. Ji holds a PhD from the University of Stirling (2000), an MEng from Xidian University, China (1994), and a BEng from Xian Jiaotong University, China (1991).
In her free time, she enjoys caring for her children, plants, and both cold water and tropical fish, reflecting her belief in adaptive learning: “If they can’t learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn.”
