Helen Hanson

Dr. Helen Hanson is a Consultant in Cancer Genetics at the Peninsula Regional Genetics Service, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and holds an NIHR Senior Investigator Fellowship at the Exeter NIHR Biomedical Research Centre. Affiliated with the University of Exeter Medical School, she focuses on improving clinical care for patients with inherited cancer predispositions.

• MD (Res) from the Institute of Cancer Research, London (2011)

Her research centers on bridging gene discovery and clinical care for rare genetic cancer syndromes, particularly TP53 mutations and Li-Fraumeni syndrome. She collaborates nationally and internationally to develop clinical guidelines.
