Helen Ezenwa is an Industry Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Assistant Dean of Partnerships and Social Innovation at the Stuart School of Business, Illinois Institute of Technology. She also serves as Executive Director of the M.A. and Lila Self Leadership Academy. Her roles include strategic leadership in nonprofit, government, and financial sectors, with a focus on human capital and inclusive workplace initiatives.
Educational background includes a DBA from DePaul University, an MBA in Finance, IT, and International Business from Loyola University Chicago, and a B.A. in International Studies and Communication from DePaul University.
Her research explores the intersection of gender, race, and leadership through an equity lens, alongside societal impact. She teaches courses in Social Entrepreneurship, Project Management, and career advancement. Ezenwa co-chairs Illinois Tech’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and is a Presidential Fellow for Equity and Belonging.
She previously served as Vice President and Program Manager at JP Morgan Chase, overseeing training programs across technology, finance, and compliance sectors. Her affiliations include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), M.P.A., and Master of Technological Entrepreneurship programs at Illinois Tech.
