Helen Currie

Helen Currie is a Research Fellow at the University of Portsmouth within the Faculty of Business and Law. She manages the Centre for Blue Governance and coordinates interdisciplinary water research initiatives.

Her research spans freshwater ecological monitoring, bioacoustics, and environmental policy, focusing on fish physiology and biodiversity. Recent work examines acoustic deterrent systems for invasive species control and anthropogenic noise mitigation.
