Helen Costigane

Helen Costigane is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Theology at St Mary’s University, London. She is a member of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and holds a JCD (Doctorate in Canon Law) from KU Leuven. Her research focuses on Christian Ethics, Canon Law, Pastoral Theology, History, and Ecclesiology. She advises legal professionals, dioceses, and individuals on canonical issues such as marriage nullity and penal processes. Dr. Costigane has held visiting roles at institutions globally, including KU Leuven and the University of Notre Dame, and serves as an external examiner for numerous universities worldwide.
