Professor Helen Chatterjee is a Professor of Human and Ecological Health at University College London (UCL), based in the Department of Genetics, Evolution & Environment. She works across UCL Biosciences and UCL Arts and Sciences, focusing on interdisciplinary research and teaching. Helen holds a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and leads strategic initiatives in public health and creative health advocacy. She co-founded the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance, advises the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing, and is a Founding Trustee of the National Centre for Creative Health.

Her research has earned prestigious awards, including the AHRC-Wellcome Medal (2018) and an MBE (2015). Helen also leads the UKRI AHRC Research Programme on Health Inequalities and co-leads UCL’s 'Creative Health Community' initiative.
