Heidi Rapp Nilsen

Heidi Rapp Nilsen is a Professor of Sustainability at NTNU's Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management, part of the Faculty of Economics. She holds a PhD from Nord University Business School and a master's in economics from the University of Bergen. Her research focuses on sustainability governance, business ethics, circular economy frameworks, and ESG regulations like the EU Taxonomy and ESRS standards. She has led projects for NORCE, UNIDO, and the FAO, and developed courses on sustainability reporting.

Her work bridges academia and policy, addressing topics like sovereign wealth fund ethics (e.g., Norway's Global Pension Fund), climate policy coherence, and marine waste management.
