Heidi Hogset is an Associate Professor in Economics at the Faculty of Business Administration and Social Sciences, Molde University College. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University (2005) and has been affiliated with the institution since 2007. Her research focuses on sustainable food production, supply chain sustainability, and international development, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and tropical regions. She leads projects on global-local food supply chain linkages, collaborating with institutions in the UK, Netherlands, and Asia. Her work includes field research in Kenya, Tanzania, and Malawi, addressing challenges in agricultural modernization and food security. Dr. Hogset is part of the Marketing, Innovation, International Business & Strategy (MIIBS) research group and contributes to interdisciplinary sustainability studies, as seen in her co-edited volume Sustainability: Fjord Anthology 2022. Her publications explore topics such as coopetition strategies, environmental dynamism in fisheries, and dynamic capabilities for sustainability performance. She also engages in public discourse through media contributions on sustainable practices and food systems.
