Heidi Gailor

Dr. Heidi Gailor is an Associate Professor of Business Administration at William Peace University (WPU), where she teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Leadership. Prior to her academic career, she worked at the Center for Creative Leadership, fostering her passion for leadership development and self-awareness. She is actively involved in civic engagement initiatives, including founding the 'For Students, By Students' dialogue program. Her research focuses on organizational leadership, dialogue processes, and experiential learning strategies in education.

Education: BA in Communication (NC State University), MA in Communication (UNC-Greensboro), Ph.D. in Depth Psychology (Pacifica Graduate Institute).

Research Interests: Dr. Gailor’s work bridges leadership theory and practice, emphasizing dialogue-based conflict resolution, ethical leadership, and community-building. She integrates real-world case studies into her teaching, such as project team dynamics and marketing strategy development. Her recent publications explore topics like 'Problem Employee' management and effective project scoping.

Awards & Grants: Recipient of WPU’s McCormick Distinguished Teaching Award and Advising Award. Secured grants for civic discourse initiatives from the NC Collegiate Citizenship Project. Member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies.

Advising & Grants: Leads dialogue programs promoting civil discourse on campus. Collaborates on grants advancing democratic engagement and community partnerships. Actively mentors students through WPU’s immersive learning programs.
