Heidi Brevik-Zender is an Associate Professor of French and Comparative Literature at the University of California. She holds a B.A. in French from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in French Studies from Brown University. Her research bridges French and Francophone literature, visual media, and material culture, with a focus on fashion, gender, space, architecture, and modernity. Her current book project explores architecture and gender in 19th-century France, supported by a U.K. Fulbright Visiting Professorship at the University of Aberdeen.
