Dr. Heechul Yun is an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Kansas School of Engineering. His research develops safe and secure real-time computing infrastructure for intelligent cyber-physical systems.
Research interests include OS, architecture, and middleware for embedded systems with emphasis on real-time performance, security, and safety in autonomous vehicles and UAVs.
His publications frequently address hardware/software co-design for real-time guarantees, with recent work focusing on cache management, anytime perception algorithms, and robust embedded AI. Recognized with multiple best paper awards from IEEE RTSS and RTAS conferences.
