Heawon Kim

Heawon Kim is an Adjunct Professor of Instrumental Coaching at Long Island University's School of Performing Arts, Post campus. She is also a pianist with the Pierrot Consort, the faculty ensemble-in-residence, and teaches at the Waldorf School of Garden City. A former child prodigy from Korea, she has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician.

Her research and artistic interests center on piano performance, chamber music, and collaborative artistry. She is deeply committed to instrumental coaching and nurturing young talent, evidenced by her co-founding of Kammermusik. Her performance background spans decades, with a focus on classical repertoire and collaborative works with renowned musicians.
