Dr. Heather Wilkinson is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Chester's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society, specializing in cognitive neuropsychology and mental health. She serves as Careers and Employability Link Tutor and holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Liverpool (2006) and a BA (Hons) from Chester (1999).
Her research examines memory disorders in epilepsy, face recognition mechanisms, self-respect cognition, and cancer survivorship support. Recent publications focus on psychometrics (2023), remote research methods (2022), and emotion perception (2018).
She teaches Biological/Cognitive Psychology, supervises BSc/MSc dissertations on mental health attitudes, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
