Heather Owen

Heather Owen is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Keele University, affiliated with the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She has extensive clinical experience in midwifery, sexual health, and safeguarding vulnerable populations.

• Registered Nurse (Adult) since 1988
• Midwifery qualifications and 10+ years in maternity and community midwifery
• Specialist focus on teenage pregnancy, sexual health, and child protection
• Joined Keele University's teaching staff in December 2018

Her research interests center on Women's Health, with particular emphasis on:

• Sexual Health outreach services
• Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Children
• Sexual Exploitation, Grooming, and Trafficking
