Heather Lonsdale is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Learning and Teaching at the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Curtin University. She holds academic positions in the Faculty of Science and Engineering and is affiliated with the Office of the Provost. Her roles include unit coordination for mathematics units such as MATH1021, MATH1006, and MATH2008, focusing on engineering, modelling, and surveying applications.
Heather holds qualifications including a BSc (Hons), PhD, and GCertUniTeach (Melb). Her research spans mathematics education (active learning, assessment practices) and mathematical physics (percolation theory). She leads projects like 'Transforming assessment in mathematics' (TEDF grant) and 'Physically active collaborative learning' (TAS Seed grant), and collaborates on 'Quantitative skills in science' (led by Brenda Rohl).
