Heather L. Batchelder

Heather L. Batchelder is a Professor of Education and Program Coordinator for Special Education at the School of Education, University of Alaska. She holds a Ph.D. and Education M.A. from the University of Central Florida, as well as a B.A. from the University of Florida.

Her research interests include Special Education, Educational Leadership, Teacher Training, and Curriculum Development. The School of Education emphasizes CAEP accreditation as a gold standard for teacher preparation programs, ensuring rigorous evaluation and alignment with national standards.
