Dr. Heather Greenlee is Professor in the Cancer Prevention Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Medical Director of the Integrative Medicine Program. With dual training in epidemiology (PhD) and naturopathic medicine (ND), her research develops lifestyle interventions for cancer prevention and survivorship.
Her NIH-funded investigations examine dietary modifications, physical activity regimens, and evidence-based complementary therapies to improve outcomes for cancer patients. Notable projects include 'Mi Vida Saludable' for Latina breast cancer survivors and cardiovascular risk prediction models for early-stage breast cancer patients.
As Past President of the Society for Integrative Oncology, Dr. Greenlee has developed clinical guidelines for integrative approaches during cancer treatment. Her lab focuses on translating research into practical nutrition programs like Cook for Your Life.
The Greenlee Lab employs multidisciplinary approaches including metabolomics, behavioral science, and digital health tools to create equitable interventions for diverse populations.
