Heather Fraser

Heather Fraser is a Lecturer in English Education at James Cook University. With 42 years of experience as an English teacher in north Queensland, she has held leadership roles including Head of Department English in multiple schools. She has been President of the English Teachers' Association of Queensland (ETAQ) Townsville Branch for 33 years.

Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, for which she received the ACEL Award for highest result. She has also earned two national Teaching Awards and holds significant recognition within ETAQ, including the Peter Botsman Award and Life Membership.

Her expertise spans curriculum development, teacher training, and educational leadership, reflecting her extensive career in fostering excellence in English education.
