Heather Delaney, MD, CHSE, FAAP, serves as Medical Director for Baylor University's Physician Assistant Studies program within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. With over 20 years of medical experience as a double Board-Certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist, she joined the faculty in Spring 2024.
- Education: Summa cum laude graduate of the University of Colorado, MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Her expertise spans healthcare education, simulation and quality, clinical research, and leadership. Former roles include Director of the Brooke Army Medical Center Simulation Center and Director of Education within the Baptist Health System for Neonatal Services.
- Scientific Awards: Air Force Graduate of the Year; Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
A 17-year U.S. military veteran (Air Force and Army), Delaney has held leadership positions such as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow during her training. She has contributed to clinical research and simulation training programs while maintaining active patient care in NICU settings.
