Heather Bower

Heather Bower is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Education at Meredith College. She also serves as Coordinator of Assessment, teaching in undergraduate and graduate education programs. Her research focuses on family involvement's role in school culture, teacher identity development, and effective classroom/behavior management strategies.

• B.A. in English Education, Wittenberg University

With over a decade of K-12 experience, Dr. Bower previously taught 7-12 grade Language Arts, AVID coursework, and managed College Access Programs in a large public school system. Her work emphasizes program development for students/families in grades 4-12.
