Hazel Roberts is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Gloucestershire, where she teaches sociology, criminology, and Crime and Criminal Justice courses. She serves as the Academic Course Lead for the BA Crime and Criminal Justice (Level 6 online top-up) program.

Previous research includes studies on disabled students in higher education, healthcare for people with learning disabilities, 'real-world' learning, community 'assets,' and an evaluation of a Health Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (HIDVA) project.
