Dr Hazel Allardyce is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen, affiliated with the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition. She works in the laboratory of Professor Simon Parson at the Institute of Medical Sciences.

Her research focuses on the neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative aspects of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a pediatric motor neuron disease. She investigates how vascular dysfunction influences the neural environment and contributes to neurodegeneration.
