Hasan Kayalı

Hasan Kayalı is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of California, San Diego. He specializes in the history of the Middle East during the Islamic period, focusing on the late Ottoman Empire, nationalism, and transitions from empire to nation-states. His research bridges political, social, and intellectual histories of the region.
