Hasan Kaili

Hasan Kaili is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean. He earned his BA and MA in English Philology from Ege University and a PhD in Linguistics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. His teaching career spans Turkish and Modern Greek instruction at multiple Greek universities.

• Research Interests: Applied linguistics, comparative linguistics, second language acquisition, language contact phenomena, and grammatical description of languages.
• Key Research: Ethnographic study of the bilingual Greek-Turkish Muslim community in Rhodes, focusing on language contact, code-alternation, and sociolinguistic identity.
